My cell beeped at 7 in the morning (29.05.08) I was in Gym. It was my mom from Patna. “Are you going to office today?” she asks. There was concern in her voice. “Yes, why not! at 8.30 AM sharp!” I replied. “Havn’t you seen TV? There might be violent protest from the Gujjars. They are set to create trouble.” Mom said. “No mom, not in my area. I hope it would be peaceful here.” I say. Gujjars, inhabitant mostly of Rajsthan, Haryana and surrounding areas of Delhi, want the government of India to include them in the Scheduled Tribe list of the constitution. Thankfully, I encountered no Gujjar miscreant on my way to office. Ironically, some Gujjar collegues of mine came early to the office fearing trouble on the way.
